President’s Message – August 2025

Dear ASSP Louisville Chapter Members,

I am honored to begin my term as President of the ASSP Louisville Chapter for the 2025–2026 year. It is with sincere appreciation that I recognize the outstanding leadership and dedication of the 2024–2025 Executive Committee. Their commitment and hard work resulted in our chapter once again achieving Platinum Level Chapter Status—an accomplishment that reflects the strength and passion of our entire membership.
As we continue building on that momentum, I look forward to working alongside our Executive Committee and you—our valued members—to create a year of engagement, education, and collaboration.

Our goals for 2025–2026

  • Delivering High-Value Training: We will host an 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher Course, available both in person and online, providing CEUs and refresher certification to help maintain professional credentials and enhance field knowledge.
  • Expanding Regional Engagement: We are committed to engaging our Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) Student Section and reconnecting with our Bluegrass Region members by hosting meetings in the Richmond, KY area. Our goal is to reestablish the Bluegrass Region Section meetings to better serve our members across the state.
  • Cross-Industry Collaboration: We will host joint networking events and a monthly meeting with ASIS International, strengthening professional ties and promoting multidisciplinary safety and security collaboration.
  • Member Recognition: To celebrate excellence within our chapter, we are launching a Quarterly Member Spotlight—an opportunity to recognize members who have made significant contributions to the field of safety and health. We encourage nominations from all members to help us honor those making a difference.
  • Supporting the Next Generation of Safety Professionals: This year, we proudly voted to raise the Frank Gradisek Scholarship back to its original amount of $2,500, reaffirming our commitment to supporting safety students and future leaders.

Throughout the year, I will lean heavily on the experience of our Executive Committee and the input of our membership. Your ideas, feedback, and participation are critical to ensuring that we continue to provide a high-quality, meaningful experience for every chapter member.

Let’s make 2025–2026 a year of renewed engagement, regional connection, and professional growth.

Thank you for your ongoing support and dedication to safety.

In Service,

Jason Golladay
