Topic Kentucky Labor Cabinet OSH Update

Chuck Stribling, Kentucky Labor Cabinet OSH Federal-State Coordinator, will join us for a Kentucky OSH Program update and a Q&A session.

Mr. Stribling is the Occupational Safety and Health Federal-State Coordinator for the Kentucky Labor Cabinet’s Department of Workplace Standards. He coordinates the administration of the Kentucky OSH Program to assure obligations to the federal government and the Kentucky General Assembly are fulfilled. Chuck serves as the direct liaison to OSHA as well as other federal, state, and municipal agencies. Chuck has been a Labor Cabinet employee since 1992, beginning in the Division of OSH Compliance as a compliance safety and health officer trainee and subsequently served as a compliance officer, compliance officer specialist, compliance supervisor, and OSH Standards Specialist. He is a Certified Safety Professional, certified Associate Safety Professional, an appointed member to the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health, a professional member of the American Society of Safety Professionals, a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), an appointed member to the Governor’s Executive Advisory Safety Committee, an appointed member to Murray State University’s Department of Occupational Safety and Health Academic Advisory Council, and an elected executive committee member of KSHN. Chuck is a core member on the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health-National Occupational Research Agenda Construction Sector Council. He serves as Vice-Chair and on the Board of Directors for the Occupational Safety and Health State Plan Association, and serves as Chair of the ASME B30 Regulatory Authority Council. Chuck earned a BME from Murray State University in 1990 and a MS in Occupational Safety and Health from Murray State in 1992.
